5 Easy Days in Killarney

5 Easy Days in Killarney – A Relaxed Itinerary

Not every trip needs to be packed from morning to night.

In fact, some of the best stays in Killarney are the ones that unfold naturally, a mix of fresh air, good food and time to take it all in.

If you’re planning a few days away, here’s a simple way to spend five easy days in Killarney, without trying to do too much.

Monday Evening
Arrive, settle in and ease into things with a gentle walk through the National Park. Afterwards, head into town for a relaxed dinner where there’s no shortage of great food spots to choose from.

Tuesday Day
A bucket list must! Do the Ring of Kerry Tour whether you join a local guided tour with and expert, we recommend Wild Kerry Day Tours, or take your time and drive it yourself with our FREE Road Trip Guide.

Tuesday Evening
Round off the day with something a little special. The Celtic Steps Show is a lovely way to soak up local music, dance and culture in an intimate setting.

Wednesday Day
Hire a bike and explore the Muckross and Dinis loop at your own pace. It’ll be one of those days that just flows with fresh air, ever-changing views and a well-earned lunch around Muckross House and Gardens. If you’re feeling brave, a dip at Dundag adds to the experience.

Wednesday Evening
Keep things easy. A quiet pint, a chat, maybe a bit of music in the background the kind of evening that doesn’t need much planning.

Thursday Day
Spend the day exploring the Gap of Dunloe by foot, bike, jaunting car or boat. However you choose to do it, it’s one of the most memorable experiences in the area. (Gap of Dunloe picture by Amanda Guerin Photography).

Thursday Evening
If you’re in the mood for a show, the INEC always has something on from live music to comedy and everything in between.

Friday Day
A relaxed morning to finish. A stroll through town, a coffee, maybe a small treat to take home and then on your way, refreshed and ready for the road ahead.

And more often than not, it’s those easy, unhurried days that end up being the ones you remember most.
